By downloading or using Islandia (“the app”) you agree to these terms. They are kept short on purpose; please do read them.

1. The service

The app lets you check in when you arrive at landmarks around Taiwan, unlock a miniature diorama image of that spot, and keep it in your “passport”. We add, change and remove spots and features over time.

2. Accounts

• No account is needed to use the app in full. The app silently creates an anonymous account to back up your collection.
• You may sign in with Apple or Google to attach the backup to your own account and bring it to a new phone. Keep your account secure.
• You can delete your account at any time on the Me tab; the cloud backup is removed at once. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

3. In-app purchase

• The “Full version” is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase sold through Apple’s App Store at the price shown there.
• After purchase every sealed diorama opens, and spots added later on the main island are included. It is not a subscription and never renews.
• On a new phone or after reinstalling, tap “Restore purchases” in the app with the same Apple account.
• Refunds follow Apple’s policy and are requested from Apple; we cannot issue them ourselves.
• The five dioramas opened for free are never taken back.

4. Content and intellectual property

• The diorama images, map, text and design in the app are created and owned by AirNoir. Dioramas are artistic renditions of the places, not exact replicas; details may differ from the real site.
• You may use the share cards the app generates for personal, non-commercial sharing. Do not resell, reproduce or reuse the app’s content in other products without permission.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• spoof or simulate your device location to obtain collections;
• reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or abuse the backup and account services;
• use the app for anything unlawful.

We may stop providing backup to accounts that clearly abuse it.

6. Spots, safety and third-party services

• Spot information, distances, weather and seasons are for reference and may differ from reality. Mind your own safety, opening hours and local rules when visiting; what you do on site is your responsibility.
• Weather comes from Open-Meteo, navigation is handled by the maps app on your phone, and purchases by Apple. Each has its own terms.
• Spots may change or be removed. Collections you already have are kept and do not affect your free allowance.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it stable but cannot promise it will never fail or pause. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits consumer rights you have by law.

8. Changes to these terms

We update this page and the date above when the terms change; material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). Apps downloaded from the App Store are also subject to Apple’s Standard EULA.
